From the Hita IC of the Oita Expressway, drive about 13 km south on Route 212 for about 20 minutes (about 1 hour and 20 minutes away if starting from Fukuoka).
By public transportation, it takes about 20 minutes from the Hita Bus Center near JR Hita Station by Hita Bus bound for Canegatate (however, only 3-4 buses a day run to Canegatate. (However, there are only three to four buses a day, so it is essential to check the schedule.)
